Meet Sophia
Online Therapist in New York
Rooted in Clarity, Compassion, and Truth
Hi, I’m Sophia and I’m so glad you’re here.
As a therapist, my goal is simple: to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life. My clients often tell me that therapy with me feels both compassionate and honest, like a balance of deep empathy with the practical tools and straightforward feedback they need to grow.
I believe that therapy is more than just gathering insight, it’s about integrating this insight into your life. It’s connecting the dots between what you feel, what you think, what you do, and what you believe.
As a therapist, I help clients uncover root issues, clarify patterns, and build new ways of relating to themselves and others.
I won’t dance around the hard stuff, but I won’t rush you through it either. My role is to sit with you in what’s difficult, and help you move forward when you’re ready.
My goal is to walk with you as you learn to think more clearly, communicate honestly, and trust yourself.
If you find yourself stuck in cycles of overthinking, over-explaining, or over-functioning, therapy can help. If your relationships keep hitting the same wall or your emotions feel out of sync with your values, you’re not alone. These often mean something deeper needs attention.
Healing is possible.
How Therapy with Me Works
Hands-on and collaborative: I don’t just listen. I provide concrete skills and strategies you can use in your everyday life.
Mindfulness-based: Becoming more present and attuned to yourself can be a powerful part of healing, and it’s central to the work I do.
Trauma-informed: Whether we’re using EMDR or talk therapy, I go at a pace that feels safe for you.
I also have a special passion for supporting new parents and those navigating the postpartum transition, a life chapter that can be as overwhelming as it is transformative.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a fellow New Yorker who deeply understands the unique challenges of living and working in this city. I bring that real-world understanding to my practice, helping you integrate growth into the life you actually live.
Who I Work With
I most often work with adults who are ready to move beyond just “feeling their feelings.” You might be someone who:
Feels stuck in repetitive patterns in relationships or at work
Struggles with anxiety, depression, or past trauma
Finds it hard to communicate your needs or set boundaries
Wants to build confidence in your voice and decision-making
Seeks to integrate mindfulness and practical coping strategies into your life
Values clear, straightforward, compassionate guidance
Has tried therapy before but felt like it didn’t get to the root or help you move forward
If any of this resonates, let’s chat. I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
